Today my class and I went kayaking, it was super fun. During the trip, I fell of the kayak twice. Although my boat didn’t flip all the way, I got soaked. Lucky for my, my friend Lizzie brought and extra change of clothes which I borrowed. Our goal today was to become better listeners, I tried to do so by taking a moment of silence. In the middle of the river, I closed my eyes and just sat for three minutes. I heard birds, bugs, and the rushing water. The sounds were very peaceful and they helped calm me down. I think that if people stopped to listen, they could live more deliberately. If we ask people to listen more it will influence them to make better decisions.
Recipe Poem:
Take cool breezes, sun baked rocks, and the hum of insects
Put chilly water, small fish, and mud in a dip in the earth
Mix the ingredients until well combined
You will know your river is ready once the rocks settle to the bottom and the fish swim freely
Bake in the sun until the top of the water is cool
Then sprinkle leaves from trees on top of the water
That’s how you make a river.
