Today we walked to a pond. I won’t lie, the water was not that pretty. The water was brown and muddy, and for the most part, it stayed stagnant. That being said, I was able to find beauty in the nature surrounding the pond, it’s the little things that make a difference. Grass swaying in the cool breeze, wildflowers basking in the sun, and the slight hum of insects buzzing by. All these aspects that looked separate from the pond, only enhanced its beauty. Today I learned how small aspects in nature can make for a great picture, even when things don’t seem like they belong together. Once I realized that everything near and around the pond worked together, I felt a wave of calm wash over me. I understood that the aspects of this pond were like people. Sometimes it may appear that our differences divide us, but in reality, we as humans are all part of a grand picture.
